The View
This cabin is located in Locke Mills, just minutes from Mt. Abrams and only 15 minutes from Sunday River. It is located on a private 60 acre lot, that overlooks Lake Christopher.

The house has two fireplaces and a panoramic view of the surrounding lakes and mountains. The house has limited power (run off a propane generator), as well as propane lights and appliances.

It is very close to Sunday River (15 minutes) and right around the corner from Mt. Abrams. You can enjoy a wonderful dinner and a movie in Bethel, or head to North Conway to shop. There is great hiking right around the cabin or you can travel 15 minutes to Grafton Notch State Park. If boating is your thing, at the bottom of the hill is a boat ramp for your boat or canoe.

In the winter it's a perfect snowmobiling getaway with ton of trails and lakes right around the property to explore. Fishing both summer and winter (on the ice) is plentiful. The house itself has a big porch out front, and spacious living rooms inside. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, but the house has collapsible futons upstairs as well as downstairs, which means the house can sleep 10 or more comfortably. Weekly, Monthly and Seasonal rentals available. The perfect place to escape the busy world and relax for a while.

The House
The house was built in 1998 and sits are 60 acres of undeveloped land. The house is off the power grid so the whole house is run off a propane generator. This doesn't mean it doesn't have all the comforts of home, the house has a full kitchen, with a stove and refrigerator. The house is heated with propane heaters and two stone fireplaces that rises up through the center of the house like a spire. For those who can't be without a shower there is plenty of hot and cold water (depending on your liking).

Accommodations
The cabin has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and it's own private bathroom. The 2 other bedrooms are on the main living floor, both have two twin beds and share a bathroom. Also on this floor are the kitchen and living room /dining area. In the living room there are two pull-out futons and a fireplace. This room overlooks two lakes and has sliding doors which lead out to a wraparound porch with views of the surround mountains and lakes. On the bottom floor there is a pull-out futon, fireplace and another bathroom.

Location
The cabin is located just minutes from Bethel, ME. Bethel is a small town near the New Hampshire border that has everything someone would need to accommodate them. Bethel is the home of Gould Academy, a private Boarding school established over 150 years ago. It also is the closest town to Sunday River, Maine's finest ski resort. The town has a grocery store and some very good restaurants, including The Sudbury Inn, The Bethel Inn and Mothers. There is also some nightlife to be found in Bethel. The Suds Pub below The Sudbury Inn has live music regularly, as does the Sunday River Brew Pub. There is also the backstage which has karaoke every Saturday, if you stay long enough you may ever hear the owners doing there nightly sign off of Pride to be an American, it is well worth it.

If bars aren't your thing Bethel has a movie theater playing all the latest movies. There are a few nice shops in Bethel, but if you really want to shop North Conway, NH is only 45 minutes away. While for the active types Sunday River is right around the corner. The Bethel Inn has a nice Golf Course and there are plenty of lakes and rivers to kayak and canoe on all around the place. There is also a nice public beach right at the bottom of the hill from the house.

What to Bring
You will need linens for any beds you plan to use, the house has four twins, one queens and two queens sized futons, pillows are provided. You will also need towels for all people in the house. The house should have basic spices and other foodstuffs, but you may want to bring your own to be sure in case it has been used up from the last rental. This goes for toilet paper and paper towels, the house is stocked with them from time to time but this does not guarantee that they will be there.
